David J. Mauer, President
After studying a dual curriculum at Yeshiva University earning degrees in both Business Administration and Jewish History, David earned his law degree from New York’s Hofstra University in 2003. He went on to begin his legal career at a Chicago law firm focused on creditor’s rights, particularly consumer matters. In 2013, he launched Mauer Law, P.C., with the goal of helping his clients maximize their receivables in the most reliable and efficient manner possible. David’s office leverages the newest technologies, and offers personalized attention to each client’s unique needs.
David serves on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Creditors Bar Association and is also a member of the National Creditors Bar Association. Additionally, he is an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association.
David “Azi” Lifsics, Of Counsel
Azi earned his law degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago after earning his degree in Political Science from Northeastern Illinois University. Following the bar exam, Azi took a position with a Chicago Alderman as Legislative Counsel. He then joined the private sector honing his skills as a litigator handling Family Law and Criminal Defense matters for 4 years before joining Mauer Law P.C. His courtroom experience is a valuable asset in the litigation-heavy landscape of the consumer collection field.
Tasha L. Deere, Paralegal
Tasha is a veteran paralegal with over ten years of experience in the consumer collection legal industry. She is an indispensable part of Mauer Law P.C., and is the chief intermediary between the firm and debtors, clients, or vendors. Prior to working at Mauer Law, she was supervising manager of post-judgment litigation for a high-volume creditor’s rights law firm, which allows her to superbly manage all administrative and executive aspects of our busy law practice.
